Land of Oz : Land of Oz - these pics were originally in Sacred Spaces. All the Earth was sacred to the people of the Dreamtime. The gallery is under construction and, as you can see, i am adding to it as i paint.

Please comment in my galleries. You don't have to say nice things. Live in the now and say what you feel. i can then determine how you want your special place to be incorporated into a painting. i can't paint this www artwork without you. i have started it and now i can't stop so i could do with your help. Where do you live? What beautiful words do you know? Does the art of the photograph move you? Are you passionate about something? i'll do my best to answer you frankly with my techno-art reply. At the end of the day, we aren't harming anyone, merely expressing our emotions.

Tuscany Painting Tour : i had to clean up this gallery before i could repost it in Travel. i love the light of Tuscany that i see in your pictures - and having not been allowed there myself (another long story) - I have to create my own impression with what i have at my disposal. In this digital age i can get a panoramic view of Cappella di Vitaleta and then paint it. Tuscany seems to creep into many of my paintings. It the place with a room with a view, a five-arched Ponte Vecchio, a 'house in...', rolling hills, a leaning tower (or is it?) and swirled skies.

The map tour here is a buzz - go for it! Go up to 'Map This' - CLICK - it brings up a map of Tuscany with Smug-icons on it. Go to right of map 'timeline' and press 'play'. You can use the Google slider to zoom right into the subject of the painting. I hope you have as much fun on tour as I did painting the originals. The gallery selector (for the bulk of my pix) is at top left - ' > inanga '.

The first person who comments in this gallery gets an original!

Aotearoa I - New Zealand : Aotearoa 1 - New Zealand

My country is Aotearoa - Land of the Long White Cloud - more recently known as New Zealand. These paintings of Whai Repo (the North Island), a big part of Aotearoa - a beautiful place on earth in which to Be. See Gallery: Aotearoa II (South Island) also. Whai Repo is the 'Stingray', not someone asking you to go out and repossess a vehicle. If you look at Kiwiland from high up in the atmosphere you will see the Stingray - Northland is the Tail, the area around Wellington Harbour the Head, and Taranaki and East Cape the Fins. The Maori knew its shape long before satellites, otherwise they wouldn't have called it the Stingray.

[This gallery needs a lot of work, sorting and that sort of thing. To surf one of the other galleries - go to top left and CLICK ' > inanga >'].

Enough of the technical, sit back and enjoy Whai Repo (the Stingray) on your HD screen.

Aotearoa II - New Zealand : Another gallery of my Aotearoa (New Zealand) paintings using the Phi-swirl.

This gallery includes photos of my paintings that depict Aotea (the South Island). I was born in Aotea in McBrearty Annex, Greymouth District Hospital (I'm not telling you when but I am a Sagittarius!) How's this - my lady Ms P's dad, known locally in the Jville valley as 'Steptoe', was also born in the same room in Grey Hospital. He was the son of Italian immigrants who migrated to NZ before the Second World War, and who worked in the coalmines with members of my extended family. He moved to Jville and settled on a farm there. His Uncle stayed and was killed in a mining accident at the Nine Mile - he is buried with other coal miners, including my dad (George Jnr/Gunner) in Karoro Cemetery south of Grey.

I moved to Whanganui-a-Tara (Wellington) about four years ago (it's 2009 now) to undergo recovery from the booze and met Ms P. She liked my paintings and (me I hope) gave me great encouragement. These galleries are the result. Now Carl Jung would probably describe all this as synchronicity - it is simply what happened, connected in the past, present and future.

See Aotearoa 1 for Whai Repo (North Island) paintings.

Sorry, but this gallery is always in progress.

Enough of anecdotal self-indulgence - let's get on with the show as prepared to date - I present to you Te Wai Pounamu - 'the waters of greenstone'.

Rooms with a View - inanga's Big OE Snapshots : Rooms with a View - all those years as a traveller - travel writing for Lonely Planet, climbing mountains for my own flawed ego, just travelling for the hell of it - I looked out many windows of rooms with spectacular views. I spent more nights in tents of all varieties than I care to imagine. Sometimes I looked out in despair, sometimes dumbstruck with bewilderment at the beauty of God's creation. Now I hum Phi to get there, content to be sitting here creating this on-line, real-time big world-wide web painting.

I will fill this gallery with more rooms with a view as time permits. I haven't really started on beautiful Aotearoa or Oz yet. Procrastination is the thief of time... the clock ticks towards 11.11 am, 21 December 2012.

I think I'll go back to the window to get as much of this 3-D magic before the shite hits the fan. "Turn that fan off, dear!"
